Xavi to miss Stuttgart clash

Barcelona playmaker Xavi has been ruled out of Wednesday's Champions League match with Stuttgart through injury.

The Spain international is suffering from a muscle problem in his right leg and is likely to be out of action for the next 15 days, according to the Barca medical team.

That means Xavi will not only miss Wednesday's last-16 second leg with Stuttgart at the Nou Camp, where the teams are locked at 1-1 from the first leg, but is also likely to be absent for the league games against Real Zaragoza, Osasuna and Real Mallorca.

There is some good news for Barca coach Pep Guardiola however, with the return to fitness of Seydou Keita, who has been given the green light to face Stuttgart.
