Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal said he quoted Barack Obama's 'Yes we can' speech to inspire his side to victory in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Man Utd.
Bayern looked down and out when they went 3-0 down in the first-half of the second leg at Old Trafford, but an Ivica Olic strike gave them hope and Arjen Robben secured their passage with a brilliant goal late in the second half.
Van Gaal also defended his team against accusations that they had got Man Utd's Rafael sent off.
