Arsenal winger Theo Walcott hailed the bravery of captain Cesc Fabregas after his side's 2-2 draw with Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final.
Fabregas, who declared himself fit to play just hours before kick-off, bounced back from the disappointment of a first-half booking which rules him out of the second leg to net a crucial late penalty, and then insisted on playing to the final whistle despite sustaining another knock.
Walcott, whose arrival on the pitch as a second half substitute helped swing the game back towards Arsenal described Fabregas as "a soldier".
