Rhyl coach Osian Roberts accepts the Welsh champions are just playing for their pride in the Champions League.
The north Wales side were beaten 4-0 in the first leg of their second qualifying round tie with Partizan Belgrade last week at their Belle Vue stadium.
Roberts, who is also the Welsh Football Trust technical director, knows the second leg in the Serbian capital will end Rhyl's involvement in Europe for another year.
He is expected to field an unchanged side in Belgrade against arguably the strongest team Rhyl could have faced in the competition.
They are still without striker Lee Hunt, who is away on holiday.
Roberts said: "This trip is going to be a great experience for the club and a great experience for the players. We are all looking forward to it.
"It's an opportunity to build the character that's within the group. It's an opportunity to make sure we keep our pride intact."
Rhyl were always facing a massive task against Partizan but they took great strength from a solid performance in the first leg despite the final score.
Roberts added: "Last week we faced a side who produced really great finishing, the highest order.
"But we handled the situation against a huge club very well. We didn't cave in and came back at them towards the end.
"It is important for our own confidence we put on a good show and use the experience to get ourselves into the right frame of mind for when we start our own domestic season."
Partizan are one of only five sides in this stage of the competition who have competed in the group stages and they won their domestic league by 19 points last term and completed a league and cup double.
