
Jamie Carragher has been included in England's provisional 30-man World Cup squad, but there is no return for either Paul Scholes or Owen Hargreaves.
Carragher has been persuaded to come out of international retirement by England boss Fabio Capello to provide cover across the defence.
The Liverpool man is joined in defence by Stephen Warnock and Leighton Baines, while Manchester City winger Adam Johnson and West Ham midfielder Scott Parker are also included.
Darren Bent is named among the forwards, but there is no place for Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.
