With the World Cup finals closing in fast, Fabio Capello gets another chance to fine-tune his plans this week when England take on Egypt in a friendly at Wembley – and you can watch the whole game live on ITV1 & ITV.com.

After a near-perfect qualifying campaign, the problems are building for the Italian with injuries and off-field issues taking their toll on the England squad and a good performance will be necessary to calm the growing nerves among supporters.

Wednesday’s opponents Egypt may have failed to qualify for the finals in South Africa but they are clearly a team with pedigree having retained their African Cup of Nations title in Angola at the start of the year.

Our coverage begins at 7.30pm and online viewers will also have the chance to join in our live chat during the game.

And if you’re looking for some kind of World Cup form guide you could do a lot worse that tune in to ITV1 & ITV.com on Tuesday evening when we bring you live coverage of Brazil’s game against Ireland at The Emirates Stadium.

Five-time champions Brazil are the bookies favourite to triumph again in South Africa but they will be given a stern test by an Irish side who came so close to making the finals themselves.

Coverage begins at 8pm and online viewers will again be able to chat with us during the match.
