An early goal from former Preston frontman Joe Anyinsah ended Morecambe's FA Cup hopes as Carlisle claimed a 1-0 victory at Christie Park.
Anyinsah latched onto a superb ball from the experienced Graham Kavanagh after just five minutes and drilled a stinging shot that gave home goalkeeper Barry Roche no chance.
