Cambridge defender Dan Gleeson has been ruled out of the FA Cup first round clash against Ilkeston.
Gleeson, who only returned to the side last week after a suspension, has pulled a thigh muscle and is expected to be out for two weeks and his most likely replacement is academy scholar Rory McAuley.
The only other injury concern for manager Martin Ling is winger Courtney Pitt, who missed last weekend's win against Kidderminster with an ankle injury.
If Pitt again misses out Andy Parkinson is again likely to take his place on the wing.
Striker Lee Phillips has struggled to break into the team this season and is again likely to take a place on the bench. Midfielder Jai Reason has fully recovered from a groin injury which had troubled him in recent weeks.
Ilkeston manager Kevin Wilson is refusing to be downbeat despite a selection crisis that could overshadow their tie.
Striker Gary Ricketts and defender Charlie O'Loughlin are both suspended for the match.
Forward David Graham broke his leg during the recent 4-1 defeat of Blyth Spartans, while defender Kieran Murphy has fractured his eye socket and Alex White has a fractured metatarsal.
While Danny Holmes is due to undergo an MRI scan.
But Wilson remains optimistic they can overcome the injuries and record a stunning win.
"The pressure is all with Cambridge," he said. "We all know how football is.
"If they think we are going to roll over they will be in for a shock.
"We are going there to enjoy the day and we might cause a shock. I have a lot of confidence in my players. We will go there with a lot of confidence."
