Chesterfield manager John Sheridan is hoping to have winger Wade Small back in contention for his side's FA Cup clash with Bournemouth.
Small has missed the last five matches due to a hamstring injury but is closing in on a return and could feature in the first-round tie.
Midfielder David Perkins, on loan from Colchester, has been given permission to play by his parent club but Sheridan will be without young Irishman Donal McDermott, who returned to Manchester City following the 1-0 home win over Barnet last week.
Striker Scott Boden is hoping his match-winning goal and impressive all-round display after replacing Derek Niven against Barnet was enough to earn his first start of the season.
Sammy Igoe is poised for a return to Bournemouth's line-up for the tie.
The experienced midfielder has missed the Cherries' last nine games because of a bruised marrow, but he has trained this week and could be included in the squad.
Igoe's comeback will come as a huge relief to manager Eddie Howe, who this week lost Mark Molesley for two months after he was forced to have an operation on a bone in his foot.
Joe Partington could also make a return having not played since the end of August because of a groin injury.
Captain Shaun Cooper remains out with a hip injury, while Scott Guyett misses out with a knee problem.
