Morecambe v Carlisle

Bentley doubt for Shrimps

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy could be without skipper Jim Bentley for the FA Cup first-round replay at home to Carlisle.

The defender is a major doubt after sustaining a calf injury in the 2-1 win at League Two rivals Crewe on Saturday.

Bentley was forced to leave the field after just 20 minutes and his replacement Will Haining is likely to feature in his place.

Midfielder Stewart Drummond is still suspended following his sending-off in the first leg so on-loan Huddersfield man Ian Craney should continue.

Drummond will also miss this weekend's home game with Cheltenham but Morecambe go into the Carlisle game in buoyant mood after they clinched their first away win of the season on Saturday.

Marc Bridge-Wilkinson is an injury concern for Carlisle.

The former Derby midfielder injured his knee in training on Monday and is rated as doubtful.

Central defender David Raven was due to undergo a hip operation in London on Monday and is expected to be out until March.

Midfielder Paul Thirlwell is yet to return to training as he continues to struggle with an Achilles problem.

Boss Greg Abbott is unlikely to make changes despite Saturday's defeat at Bristol Rovers, as he felt his side were unfortunate not to take a least a point.

Kevan Hurst is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up along with Peter Murphy, but Abbott could stick with the same side that started against the Pirates.
