Scotland were on Thursday confirmed among the third seeds for February's European Championship qualifying draw.
The Scots have fallen down the rankings after a dismal showing in the race to reach next year's World Cup and are now rated the 26th best side in Europe.
England are among the nine top seeds, while Wales are in Pot Four, and both could be drawn to meet either Scotland, the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland, who are all seeded third.
