Tisdale delight at victory

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale spoke of his pride and saluted the quality of his team's second goal in a deserved 3-1 victory at windswept Edgeley Park.

The Grecians are now unbeaten in five games and the three points lifted the club still further away from the League One drop zone. Stoppage-time goals from substitutes Adam Stansfield and Richard Logan handed the visitors victory, after Stockport had finally grabbed themselves an 81st-minute equaliser from Michael Rose. Exeter led at half-time thanks to a 39th-minute opener from Ryan Harley.

``After that performance I'm very proud of the players," said Tisdale. ``That's five games unbeaten now, thankfully it's looking like we've found our form now."

He added: ``The conditions were dreadful here today, and Stockport tried to stop us playing a bit, but all my lads put plenty of work in and we were very brave at the end.

``Our second goal was a Premier League goal. It was a great touch and pass from Ryan Harley and Adam Stansfield sticks the ball away superbly.

``But we have had a fair share of late goals go in against us so far this season, so it's nice to finally turn the tables around for once.

``We went for it at the end, we weren't lucky and it was no surprise when we did get our second goal.

``Stockport had a few chances late on in the game, but we produced some wonderful defending at times.

``We then put two up front in those latter stages, although it did come down to that bit of quality in the end.''
