Grimsby have signed midfielder Mark Hudson from Conference North club Gainsborough Trinity.
The 29-year-old has agreed a deal that will keep him at Blundell Park until at least the end of the season and he goes straight into Town's squad for the League Two trip to Macclesfield on Saturday.
The former Chesterfield, Huddersfield, Rotherham and Blackpool playmaker impressed Mariners manager Neil Woods in a recent reserve game against Lincoln.
