Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe refused to criticise striker Brett Pitman despite his missed penalty costing his side victory in the 1-1 draw with Barnet.
Pitman had clawed the table-topping Cherries back into the game after John O'Flynn had opened the scoring for the Bees.
Bournemouth had the perfect opportunity to snatch the victory when keeper Jake Cole hauled down Pitman in the area - but the forward saw his spot-kick saved.
``Brett has been exceptional this season - he is a goalscorer and has scored a lot of goals,'' said Howe. ``I'm not too worried about him missing the penalty and he will definitely take the next one. It was definitely a game of two halves because first half we I thought we were poor and were fortunate to come in at 1-1.
``Brett scored a great goal to draw us level. Then second half we were exceptional and could very easily have won it.
``To a man I don't think we really turned up in the first half. We still need to believe we can win games. Winning games in this league is not easy and no team has a divine right to win including us.''
