Chesterfield manager John Sheridan was happy to see his players give a demonstration of their attacking capabilities as they romped to a 5-2 win over Darlington
The Spireites put down another impressive marker at home as they cruised to an eighth league victory at Saltergate at the expense of Darlington who suffered an eighth away defeat.
Sheridan said: ``I have always said that we will score goals with the way that we try and play and to get five in a game, you can't ask for much more.
``Successful teams score from different areas of the pitch and we have a lot of players who are chipping in with goals.
``But once again, the most important thing for me is that we got the three points. It was a tricky game, everyone thought it was a banker but I didn't see it that way.
``Full credit to the players, it was a very good performance in very tricky conditions and we created lots of opportunities.
``We had them watched and I think they are a decent side. Steve Staunton has just gone in there and he's got a difficult job but I'm sure that he will get them out of the position they are in.
``I said to the players they had to be patient and once we got the break with the first goal, we started to get a grip on the game.''
