Double boost for Bulls

Trewick fumes over Hereford defeat

John Trewick was furious after Hereford threw away the chance to register their first away win of the campaign in the 3-2 defeat at Burton

The Bulls boss blamed a combination of poor defending and referee Dean Whitestone as the Brewers grabbed a late winner through full-back Aaron Webster.

Trewick said: ``Some shocking defending has cost us and I believe the referee has cost us as well.''

He took Whitestone to task over the Shaun Harrad penalty that gave Burton the lead for the second time in a second half full of goals.

He added: ``I don't know how he could possibly say it was deliberate handball by Leon Constantine.

``What disappoints me is that we were the better team in the second half. We took the game to them and created the best opportunities.

``But I have to turn it round and look at the fact that we've conceded three in 45 minutes and that's not going to get us anywhere. When you score twice in away game you should looking at going home with three points.''
