Dunfermline have signed full-back Jordan McMillan from Rangers and allowed defender John Potter to move on loan to Queen of the South.
The Pars, one point adrift of Hibernian at the foot of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League table, have recruited McMillan on an 18-month deal which ends on May 31, 2013.
Announcing the move on their official website, www.dafc.co.uk, Dunfermline said: "Full-back Jordan McMillan has signed for Dunfermline. He has been at Rangers since he was a youth and this season has made three appearances for the Ibrox club."
Meanwhile, Potter, who returned to East End Park last summer following a spell at St Mirren, has moved to Dumfries-based Queen of the South until May 22, 2012.
Potter's current Dunfermline contract expires at the end of the current campaign and it may be the 32-year-old has played his final game for the Pars.
Gers midfielder Kyle Hutton has also joined on loan until the end of the season after signing a one-year contract extension with the Scottish champions.
The 20-year-old was contracted to the Ibrox side until the summer of 2013 but has now committed himself for a further 12 months.
However, Hutton will spend the remainder of the campaign at East End Park with a Pars side who sit bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League table and who are battling to retain their top-flight status.
The youngster also spent three months on loan at Partick Thistle earlier in the season.
