Sam Allardyce has warned his goal-shy strikers and midfielders they need to start scoring to boost Blackburn's chances of avoiding relegation.
Allardyce believes Rovers have turned around their form after an "abysmal" early spell but chances have not been converted in recent games.
Blackburn are now only three points off the relegation places and in need of a morale boost against Wigan's Jekyll and Hyde side on Boxing Day.
Allardyce said Benni McCarthy, Franco Di Santo, Jason Roberts, Morten Gamst Pedersen and El Hadji Diouf were all well short of their goal targets.
Allardyce said: "We set out our stall at the beginning of the season about the goal ratio we were aiming at and they are all way behind what they did last year, never mind improving on that.
"It's Benni, Franco, Jason, Morten, Dioufy - they all have not got enough goals.
"The more they miss the more they worry but you have to take it on the chin.
"The one thing that gives you the confidence is to go out on the training ground and practise and you don't need a coach for that."
