Burnley manager Owen Coyle is monitoring Jack Wilshere's situation should he become available on loan next month.

It is understood Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes a short-term arrangement with another club might be a good option for the talented 17-year-old midfielder.

"He is a quality player, a young player who I believe will go on to be real star in the future," said Coyle.

"If Arsene says he is avilable on loan then I think there would be a host of clubs interested in that type of player.

"We are interested in a lot of players to enhance the squad and if Jack Wilshere is one of those, who knows?"
