Tyrone Mears believes he is finally beginning to realise his potential after moving to Barclays Premier League newcomers Burnley in the summer.
At 29, Mears' career has been a slow climb on a road that has seen him wear the colours of a number of clubs, among them Derby and West Ham.
The right-back failed to nail down a regular slot at either club through a mix of inconsistency or injury - he suffered a stress fracture during his time at Pride Park.
However this season it has been a different story and tomorrow he hopes to extend his ever-present league record when his side face Wolves.
He said: "The one thing that has caused me to stumble over the past few years was not playing regularly. It stalled the potential I had as a young player.
"I believe I am showing good form and consistency. That is because I am playing every game - there is nothing better than that.
"There is a lot of matches between now and January and I will relish every one of them. It is important we pick up points along the way and stay on the right side of the table."
