Graham Gartland returns to the St Johnstone squad for the Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with Aberdeen at McDiarmid Park.
The Saints defender missed Saturday`s win over Falkirk with a virus but has recovered.
Steven Anderson, Martin Hardie and Peter MacDonald (all knee injuries) and Stuart McCaffrey remain out while captain Kevin Rutkiewicz has recovered from his own knee problem but is not yet ready.
St Johnstone boss Derek McInnes is looking for his players to put together an extended unbeaten run for the first time this season.
Saturday's win over bottom side Falkirk took the Saints in to seventh place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, a point ahead of Aberdeen..
A win over the Dons would take the Perth men to within three points of Hearts and with two games in hand over the Tynecastle men.
McInnes refuses to talk about a potential top-six finish in his first season as boss in the SPL but the type of run he is hoping for, would, by definition, bolster their chances.
"It was an important win for us against Falkirk on Saturday," he told Press Association Sport. "We are three points further away from the bottom side instead of three points closer to them so it was significant.
"Can we up it in the coming weeks? That is the challenge for us now, to go on a run between now and the end of the season, finish the season strongly and see where we are then."
Davide Grassi returns from suspension for Aberdeen's.
Aberdeen have no fresh injury worries for the crucial contest. Peter Pawlett (knee) and Andrew Considine (hip) are long-term absentees.
Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee admits confidence is "fragile" in his team but he feels there is a good performance waiting to come out of his players.
Aberdeen go into their match against St Johnstone without a victory in nine games.
Zander Diamond's equaliser at Hamilton in their previous game prevented their losing streak hitting four matches but Aberdeen go into the game just seven points off the top six, with two games in hand, after Hearts lost at Motherwell on Saturday while the Dons were inactive.
McGhee said: "The confidence is fragile, that's absolutely without doubt, but it doesn't take much to just tip it the other way.
"To go to St Johnstone and get the first goal and go on and win the game could make a huge difference to the rest of our season in terms of confidence never mind results.
"We can play a lot better than we did to get the draw at Hamilton, so it's not just about sneaking it we want to play well. We have a performance in us and that's what we want to produce going into these remaining games."
