Fulham boss Roy Hodgson said the sending-off of Erik Nevland was the turning point of his side's UEFA Europa League clash with Roma.
The Londoners were leading 1-0 in the Stadio Olimpico before Nevland received his marching orders for a foul on Daniele de Rossi. Roma then turned the tie on it's head by moving 2-1 up, before Paul Konchesky became the second Fulham player of the night to see red.
Hodgson said he thought neither offence warranted a sending-off, but resisted the temptaton to lay into the referee.
