Anderlecht defender Jelle van Damme is confident his side can overcome a 3-1 deficit against Hamburg and reach their first European quarter-final for 13 years.
The German side took a huge step towards the last eight with a commanding performance in the first leg of this Europa League tie but Van Damme is optimistic they can turn it around at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.
"We still believe completely that we can qualify," he told Sportwereld.
"In Hamburg, we didn't play badly.
"We have good strong players in the side and I didn't think they were particularly good defensively even though they are currently fifth in the Bundesliga."
Van Damme believes the support of the home fans and a good start are key to a thrilling night.
He added: "First and foremost, our fans need to encourage us even more than they did (in the last round) against Athletic Bilbao.
"We must score as soon as possible and then work hard for the second.
"Our final pass certainly needs to be better than it was in Hamburg because it let us down at times."
Anderlecht will be hoping to have key midfielder Mbark Boussoufa back after a knee injury. He trained with the squad yesterday and Van Damme is desperate for the Moroccan to make it.
"Playing with Boussoufa is very different to not playing with him," he said.
"For me he is Anderlecht's best player. He provides creativity and with one move can make the difference, be it a dribble, a cross or a free-kick.
"Anderlecht doesn't depend only on Boussoufa but he gives us extra hope."
Hamburg coach Bruno Labbadia expects a "tough opponent" with his main selection headache surrounding striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Labbadia has taken a cautious approach with the 33-year-old following his move from Real Madrid and now has to decide whether to play him from the start in the Belgian capital.
His assistant Eddy Sozer said: "The last two weeks have been very intense for him.
"Ruud needs time to rest his legs a little.
"But it's a fine line whether you play him or not. He is a very important player and this is a very important game.
"We are just one game away from the quarter-finals."
