Europa League Group K could be decided with a week to spare as the top two sides meet on Thursday night.
Holland's PSV Eindhoven can seal top spot if they beat Sparta Prague, while a win for the Czech outfit will see them through if the night's other game, between FC Copenhagen and CFR Cluj, is drawn.
The teams met on the group's opening weekend and shared a thrilling 2-2 draw.
Sparta twice took the lead through Roman Hubnik and Martin Zeman, but Jonathan Reis equalised on each occasion to earn his side a point.
Hubnik believes his side will have learnt from that meeting and expects a cagey encounter this time around.
He told the club's website: "We know Eindhoven well from the first game, they are a very good technical team.
"We cannot play too offensively against them. The Dutch league is very attacking, you see a lot of goals.
"We must prepare for them and try to score from a set-piece or a counter-attack. We can win in Eindhoven, but we will see how the game unfolds."
Sparta coach Jozef Chovanec will return to his former stomping ground, having won two Eredivisie titles with PSV between 1988 and 1991.
Opposite number Fred Rutten will be able to call on a virtually fully-fit squad, with the injured Jan Kromkamp, Bas Roorda and Reimond Manco his only absentees.
Rutten took advantage of his team's Friday fixture against Sparta Rotterdam - which they won 3-2 - to journey to the Czech Republic on Saturday and see Chovanec's men in action.
They impressed in a 2-0 win over local rivals Bohemians, and Rutten told UEFA.com: "The difference between them and Bohemians was huge. Sparta gave away very little and played very consistently.
"They are a stable team, which is borne out by their statistics. The trip was a useful lesson with an eye an Thursday's match."
PSV have won all four of their European home games this season 1-0 and will be looking to wrap up qualification before their final game against Cluj on December 16 - Sparta host Copenhagen on the same night.
