Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was grateful for the support from the stands during the Gunners' 4-1 win against Newcastle but said he understood why some fans were upset by the recent Stoke defeat.
The Frenchman said: "I'm thankful for that [chants in support of Wenger], but what you want is our fans to be happy because you win football games.
"My job is to win football games and when we don't do it I can understand why they aren't happy."
He added: "I've worked 18 years in this country and I'm grateful for that... 99.9 per cent (of the time) it is people with full respect, even when they're not happy. I can take the 0.1 per cent."
