Essien has dream come true

Michael Essien has described his move from Chelsea to AC Milan as "a dream come true".

I always said to my friends and family that before I finished my career I wanted to wear the Milan jersey

Then I spoke to (Milan coach Clarence) Seedorf and I didn't want to join any other team.

My decision to come here was only for one reason and that is to wear the colours of a top club.

I am delighted to be here, it's an honour.

This is a dream come true.

I can't wait to make my debut.

Balotelli needs love - Prandelli

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has come out in defence of Mario Balotelli following the forward's latest indiscretion.

The 23-year-old scored an equaliser for AC Milan in their 2-1 win over Cagliari on Sunday, but then made a vulgar gesture towards opposition fans to earn a yellow card.

Balotelli will learn. He needs a lot of love.

We need to get the best out of him.

He is very tied to his emotions, he has these reactions but he is a very good person.

(AC Milan coach Clarence) Seedorf has already said the right things.

"I am convinced that with Seedorf's help we can bring out the best in Mario.
