Webber arrives in Accrington

Accrington have completed the signing of striker Danny Webber on a one-year deal following a successful trial with the club.

Webber, 31, joins the club as a free agent after leaving Doncaster this summer and has been training with the Reds throughout pre-season.

Stanley snap up Windass

Accrington have completed the signing of midfielder Josh Windass on a one-year deal.

Windass, 19, has played a key role in Stanley's pre-season schedule and has been rewarded with a contract at the Store First Stadium.

Alcaraz checks in

Everton, under new boss Roberto Martinez, won 4-1 at League Two side Accrington, who are managed by former Toffees striker James Beattie.

Darron Gibson, Victor Anichebe, Kevin Mirallas and Leon were on the scoresheet for the Toffees.

Stanley give Beattie the job

James Beattie has been appointed as Accrington's first-team manager with immediate effect.

Stanley have been without a manager since Leam Richardson left to join former boss Paul Cook at Chesterfield at the end of April.

Former Southampton, Everton and Stoke striker Beattie, who joined the club as a player in November, will be officially unveiled at a press conference on Tuesday morning.
