Diego mulling Atletico move

Wolfsburg forward Diego has confirmed receiving an approach from Atletico Madrid and said he hoped his future can be decided as soon as possible.

The 28-year-old spent the 2011-12 season on loan at the Spanish club, winning the Europa League with them before returning to Wolfsburg this season.

It's important for my mind and for the preparations for next season".

The president and coach of Atletico have both told me that they want me and I have a concrete offer.

We now just have to talk to Wolfsburg and see what's best.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho were sent off as Atletico Madrid beat Real Madrid in extra-time at the Bernabeu to overcome their local rivals for the first time in 14 years and lift the Copa del Rey.

Miranda's header in the 99th minute won it for Atletico. Ronaldo's header gave Madrid the lead after 14 minutes, but Diego Costa levelled 10 minutes before half-time.

Monaco player claims Falcao to sign for club

Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic has claimed the ambitious club are 90 per cent certain to sign Atletico Madrid striker Falcao.

I'll tell you what I heard: Falcao is already 90 per cent Monegasque!

He will appear in Monte Carlo in a few days and officially become our player.

That's what they told us, with the only doubt being that he could sign for Real Madrid, which at the moment does not look likely.

If he does not go to the Bernabeu, he will come to us in the principality. Let's wait for confirmation once it happens.

Radamel Falcao once again showed why he is getting interest from Europe's top clubs, including a strong link to Chelsea, after he gave Atletico Madrid the lead in the Madrid derby yesterday.

But Jose Mourinho's team hit back through an own goal by Juanfran and Angel Di Maria hit the winning goal midway through the second half.

Atletico snap up teenager

Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal to sign teenage defender Jose María Gimenez from Uruguayan club Danubio.

The 18-year-old centre-back passed his medical with Atletico on Wednesday before signing a five-year contact with the Spanish club, the Rojiblancos announced on their official website.

Atletico sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero described Gimenez, who has been called up to the Uruguay Under-20 side, as a "natural talent, a fast defender who uses the ball well, a good marker and classy on the ball."

Miranda signs new Atletico deal

Brazil defender Joao Miranda has agreed a contract extension with Atletico Madrid to keep him at the club until 2016.

The 28-year-old, who signed from Sao Paolo in 2011, has emerged as a key part of the Atletico team that has won the Europa League and UEFA Super Cup in the past 12 months.

Simeone signs new Atletico Madrid deal

Diego Simeone has agreed a new four-year deal to remain with Atletico Madrid.

A statement on Atletico's official website read: "The club have reached an agreement that seals continuity and keeps the Atletico coach on the bench until 2017."
