Klopp: No approach from Man United

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has ruled himself out of contention to become the next manager of Manchester United, and insists he has not been approached for the job either.

I find it a little uncomfortable having to turn somebody down without them even making an enquiry, but it seems like I have got to do it anyway.

There are about 1000 reasons why I am so happy to be working at this club.

Guardiola wary of Bayern blip

Coach Pep Guardiola suggested his heavy rotation policy could have been to blame as Bayern Munich suffered back-to-back league defeats for the first time since November 2011.

A 3-0 loss at home to Borussia Dortmund will not affect the destiny of the Bundesliga title, which has already been wrapped up by Bayern, but it did show that the Bavarians are fallible after a 53-game unbeaten streak was ended by Augsburg a week ago.

It happened to me in Barcelona too that, after we had clinched the league title, we really struggled to raise our game again.

The aim as coach now is to build the team up again. Maybe I made a mistake.

Maybe it was a mistake not just to carry on as we were, but I don't want to make rotation out to be an excuse.

Sahin to remain with Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have activated an option they had to sign Nuri Sahin on a permanent contract at the end of the season.

The Turkey midfielder is currently on loan with the Bundesliga club from Real Madrid until the summer, but agreement has been reached on a pre-determined fee for the move to become permanent.

We informed the Real Madrid management of our intentions to take the option on him during our Champions League quarter-final tie with them.

Klopp: "No one to blame for not qualifying"

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp hailed the spirit and determination of his players as they fell just short of completing a memorable Champions League fightback against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Madrid survived a huge scare to progress through to the semi-finals, losing 2-0 on the night but scraping through 3-2 on aggregate.

A game like this should be conserved, it was unbelievable how well the lads played tonight.

You could tell from the off that they wanted to go through. We stuck to our game plan 100 per cent, but unfortunately we were still eliminated. That's how the competition goes.

We should have scored in the first leg, but we knew we would get a chance. But let me make one thing clear: this game was so good that there is absolutely no one to blame for not qualifying.

Borussia Dortmund have completed a deal to sign Hertha Berlin striker Adrian Ramos at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old Colombia international, set to feature for his country at this summer's World Cup, will join Jurgen Klopp's side on July 1 after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.

Ramos has been in good form for Hertha this season, his 16 goals placing him third on the Bundesliga scoring charts and contributing to a return of 32 in 89 top-flight appearances for the capital club.
