Leicester have agreed a deal to sign experienced defender Matthew Upson.
Upson turned down the offer of a new contract at Brighton in favour of a return to Barclays Premier League football, who this season ended their decade-long absence from the top flight by winning the Sky Bet Championship title.
He will sign a one-year deal on July 1 after his current contract with the Seagulls expires.
The 35-year-old played 47 games this season for Brighton, winning the club's player of the year award and helping them reach the play-offs where they were beaten by Derby.
Upson started his career at Luton and also played for Arsenal, Birmingham, West Ham and Stoke, before joining Brighton last summer after an initial loan spell.
Brighton have accepted the resignation of head coach Oscar Garcia, the Championship club have confirmed.
The Seagulls saw their play-off promotion hopes dashed by Derby in a 4-1 semi-final defeat at the iPro Stadium on Sunday which meant they lost the tie 6-2 on aggregate, with Garcia offering to stand down.Despite being time to mull over his decision, the Spaniard has now had his resignation accepted.

Bridge, who began his career at Southampton, represented his country 36 times, and won the Premier League and FA Cup as a Chelsea player.
Late goals from Kazenga LuaLua and Jesse Lingard confirmed Yeovil's relegation from the Sky Bet Championship and fired Brighton back into the play-off places.
Substitute LuaLua struck with 11 minutes left and Lingard in stoppage time to secure a 2-0 win for the hosts and send Yeovil back to League One after one season.
