Blackwell enjoying re-building

Bury boss Kevin Blackwell admits he would have been unable to piece together a five-a-side team two months ago as they seek to reach the next stage of their revolution against Norwich in the Capital One Cup.

June the 24th we turned up for pre-season and I had four players signed at the football club.

Bury clear debts and appoint Day as chairman

Bury's takeover has finally gone through with the announcement that Stewart Day has been appointed as their new chairman.

The Shakers, who were relegated to npower League Two last season, faced closure after revealing they needed to raise £1million to survive last month.

And after three weeks of due diligence, the takeover deal fronted by Day has now been ratified and the Shakers' debts have been cleared.
