Diego Costa is the prime candidate to be better than all of Chelsea's current strikers put together, but he won't be cheap
Charlton live updates
Lukas Jutkiewicz deservedly handed Middlesbrough the points against Charlton with a goal midway through the second half at The Valley.
The striker took advantage of some miscommunication in the home defence to nod home the winner following Grant Leadbitter's corner.
On 5 December 1992 Charlton Athletic played their first home game at The Valley in seven years, and capped the occasion in style by beating Portsmouth 1-0.
The Valley had once been the largest stadium in London with a capacity of 75,000, but went into decline after the war. By the 1980s it had been repossessed, and Charlton were forced to groundshare first with Crystal Palace and then with West Ham.
However, in the late eighties plans were laid for a return to the club's home, and with funds raised The Valley was re-opened for the visit of Portsmouth.
Colin Walsh's 7th-minute goal capped the occasion with a victory for the Addicks.
It's day five of Advent and next up in our list of Premier League legends is Charlton number 5 Richard Rufus. A one-club man, centre-half Rufus made 288 league appearances for the Addicks in a career sadly cut short by injury.
