Hazard to sit out Belgium's match with Andorra

Belgium midfielder Eden Hazard will not feature in tonight's Euro 2016 qualifier against Andorra due to a toe injury, national coach Marc Wilmots has confirmed.

The 23-year-old joined up with his countrymen despite picking up the knock during Chelsea's 2-0 Barclays Premier League win over Arsenal on Sunday, but will not be risked in Brussels with one eye on Monday's clash with Bosnia-Herzegovina in Zenica.

Wilmots tweeted, in French and Dutch: "As a precaution, @hazardeden10 will not play against Andorra because of a bruised toe. Trying to get him 100% for #bosbel."

Wilmots also revealed on Twitter on Thursday evening that Hazard's club and international team-mate Thibaut Courtois was feeling no ill-effects from the head injury which ended his weekend involvement against the Gunners.

"@thibautcourtois has trained from the beginning to the end without any problems," he posted.

Par précaution, @hazardeden10 ne jouera pas contre Andorre en raison d'une contusion à l’orteil. Essayer qu’il soit à 100% pour #bosbel

Ivanovic: Chelsea will get better

Chelsea right-back Branislav Ivanovic has sounded an ominous warning to the rest of the Premier League by insisting Jose Mourinho's team will only get better.

It is really amazing how quickly the new players have adapted.

You could see straight from the first day how they work, how well they do their jobs, and that it is normal for them to play this way.

That is why they are here and we are all very happy about that.

As this group stays together for a long time, we will get better and better - we know each other's games, we know the movement of each other and this gives us the opportunity to play more easily in games.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been cleared to play on after undergoing precautionary tests following the head injury he sustained during Sunday's 2-0 Premier League win over Arsenal.

Courtois played on after requiring treatment for a head knock following a first-half collision with Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, before being replaced after further treatment and departing Stamford Bridge for precautionary scans in hospital.
