Crystal Palace defender Brede Hangeland remains happy at Selhurst Park despite struggling to make the first team under Neil Warnock.

"I haven't played as much as I'm used to but I'm at an age now in my career that personal ambitions are not as high as they used to be, I just want to be a part of a good club and play when called upon but if not I'll support the lads from the sidelines," Hangeland told the club's official website.

"It's a different experience for me, I've been used to playing all of the games all of the time but now it's about being realistic.

"I played around 50 games a year for 10 years running and my hips seem to know so!"

Neil Warnock charged with misconduct over Chelsea post-match comments

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association for his post-match comments following the home defeat by Chelsea on Saturday.

Warnock appeared to infer that referee Craig Pawson was using double standards by not booking John Terry yet cautioning a Palace player for a similar offence.

The FA said in a statement: "It is alleged that Warnock's post-match comments constituted improper conduct in that they implied the match referee was motivated by bias; and/or brought the game into disrepute, in contravention of FA Rule E3[1]."

Warnock has until 6pm on Monday to respond to the charge.

Palace lose Dann for Chelsea test

Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann has been ruled out of Saturday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Dann has a knee injury and will miss the Selhurst Park showdown, but is expected to return against West Brom a week later.

Otherwise Palace manager Neil Warnock has a fully fit squad to select from.

Provisional Palace squad: Speroni, Hennessey, Mariappa, Kelly, Fryers, Ward, Delaney, Hangeland, Jedinak, McArthur, Bannan, Ledley, Williams, Bolasie, Thomas, Puncheon, Gayle, Campbell, Johnson, Doyle, Chamakh, Zaha.

Warnock denies boardroom rumours

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock denies he is being lined up for a move to the Selhurst Park boardroom.

A report states that Warnock will be given a new position at the Barclays Premier League club once they find a suitable successor for his tracksuit role.

I'm not ready [to move upstairs]. I will take the story with the pinch of salt.

I know nothing about it. I'm afraid I'm not into that at the minute, I'm just concentrating on managing.

You are going to get rumours like that. I have come to help Palace out and I'm really enjoying it.

– Neil Warnock
