Deschamps given vote of confidence

I have total confidence in Didier Deschamps.

It will seem strange to you but I think the France team are doing better. In terms of the rankings, that may seem questionable.

– FFF president Noel le Graet speaking to L'Equipe

Capoue wants out

Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue hopes to leave the club this summer in search of European football.

The France international has been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham as well as the likes of Paris St Germain and AC Milan, though coach Alain Casanova is hopeful he will stay with the Tefece.

If he [Casanova] wants to keep me, that is good.

That says that he counts on me, that he is happy with me.

But it is football. I feel it is the moment to leave, to play in big competitions.

– Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue speaking to L'Equipe

Nasri recalled to France team

Samir Nasri is back in the France squad after a 10-month absence for their upcoming friendlies against Uruguay and Brazil in South America.

The Manchester City midfielder has not played for Les Bleus since Euro 2012, when he fell foul of the French Football Federation following an expletive-laden outburst at journalists.

That earned him a three-match ban by the FFF and subsequent snub by national coach Didier Deschamps, but Nasri has now been given another chance at international level.
