Chelsea youngster eye Brazil

Patrick van Aanholt believes playing in the Eredivisie again this season will enhance his chances of making the Holland squad for the World Cup.

I want to go to the World Cup, that's why I did not consider going to an English club.

At Vitesse it will be better for my image with the coach (Van Gaal).

Holland won the qualifier against Cyprus 8-0 in Rotterdam, but the result was eventually annulled after the Cyrpus goalkeeper Andreas Charitou was struck by an object thrown from the crow. The home side went on to win the rearranged game 4-0.

Spain saw off Netherlands in the Under-21 European Championships, thanks to goals from Alvaro Morata, Manchester City target Isco and a last-minute strike from Alvaro Vasquez.

The Spaniards will now face Norway in the semi-finals.

Sneijder wants World Cup win for Van Gaal
