Happy 50th birthday to Ian Holloway. Ollie is currently Crystal Palace boss, with managerial stints at Bristol Rovers, QPR, Leicester City, Plymouth Argyle and Blackpool under his belt, not to mention a fair few games as a tenacious midfielder in the days of short shorts – mostly for Rovers and QPR.

A club statement on Fletcher's sacking read: "The team’s recent results have not been good enough and, with the club’s Football League future paramount, the Argyle Board felt that a change was necessary now as we head into an important part of the season."
