Huntelaar committed to Schalke

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has insisted leaving Schalke "is not part of the plan" after making a winning return to action this year.

The Dutchman ended five and a half months of injury agony by inspiring the Royal Blues to back-to-back victories in 2014.

Huntelaar is reported to have a release clause in his contract, which expires in 2015, but he does not care for that.

I'm fully focused on Schalke. Leaving Schalke is not part of the plan.

I don't know all the precise details of my contract, but that doesn't play a role anyway.

– Schalke forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Sam set for Schalke

Schalke have agreed to sign Germany winger Sidney Sam from Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen in the summer for a set fee of 2.5 million euros.

The 25-year-old has 18 months left to run on his contract with Leverkusen, but agreed terms with the Gelsenkirchen club, who have met the terms of a clause in his contract.

He has put pen to paper on a four-year deal for the Royal Blues.
