Owls swoop for Davies

Sheffield Wednesday have signed former Everton youngster Adam Davies on a short-term contract.

The goalkeeper will provide back-up to Chris Kirkland after his deputy, Stephen Bywater. was ruled out with pneumonia.

Davies left Everton in the summer, and has agreed a month-to-month contract.
