On this day 1984: Brighton knockout Reds
Brighton caused a shock in the FA Cup as they knocked out the all-conquering Liverpool side of the time. Gerry Ryan scored the opener for Brighton, before Terry Connor sealed the result five minutes after curling one beyond Bruce Grobbelaar in nets.
