Retiring midfielder David Beckham declared tonight's match at the Parc des Princes "couldn't have been any more perfect" after captaining Ligue 1 champions Paris St Germain and leaving the pitch in tears in what appeared to be the final match of his decorated career.

"Tonight was a nice way to go out - in front of my own fans, in front of a capacity crowd that were excited because we've won the league," Beckham told Sky Sports News.

"To go out like I did tonight couldn't have been any more perfect."
