Bale should be fit for Madrid derby

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is taking a safety-first course of action with injured world-record signing Gareth Bale.

The Wales international pulled out of last weekend's 4-1 win over Getafe with a thigh problem and although Ancelotti expects he will be fit for Saturday's derby against Atletico he will not take any risks.

That means the former Tottenham star is definitely out of tomorrow's trip to face lowly Elche.

He did not have anything serious. He had a small problem and today he has done individual work.

He will be available on Saturday, not tomorrow. He played 60 minutes against Villarreal and played 30 against Galatasaray.

He just has a small problem, but not a muscle injury. I do not know what happened, but the important thing is that there is no risk if I decide to put him on the pitch on Saturday against Atletico.
