Spain's World Cup qualifier against Belarus could be in doubt after a generator exploded at Mallorca's Iberostar Stadium where the game was due to take place on Friday.

According to reports in Spain, one of three generators at the stadium exploded after a severe electrical fault which left three people injured - two seriously - and the damage could be too extensive to repair in time for the Group I clash.

Both teams are expected to suspend their training sessions at the stadium, which is home to Primera Division side Real Mallorca, on Thursday evening.

The game against Belarus is scheduled to kick-off on Friday at 10pm local time.
