France are unhappy with the seeding system FIFA intend to implement ahead of next week's World Cup play-off draw.
Eight teams including France will go into the draw, but four of those sides will be seeded and Les Blues are unlikely to be one of them owing to a poor FIFA ranking.
It means they could face a tough two leg tie against Portugal to decide whether they make the World Cup finals in Brazil.
French Federation president Noel Le Graet believes this is unfair because they had one less country to play against during qualification.
