Former Swansea midfielder Ferrie Bodde is in an artificial coma in hospital in Holland as he battles pneumonia.
The 31-year-old is the head coach at Dutch amateur side sv Wateringse Veld, and a statement on their website read:
"Today we received the news that our head coach, Ferrie Bodde, is in hospital with pneumonia.
"To fight the bacterial infection and to prevent damage to the organs, it was decided to keep Ferrie in an artificial sleep for several days.
"We are obviously very shocked and wish him a speedy recovery."
