Arsenal and England winger Theo Walcott will miss the start of the new season with a knee injury, but is set to resume training by the end of August.

Walcott, 25, ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during an FA Cup third-round tie against Spurs last season, which caused him to miss the World Cup.

"We expect him to be back in full training at the end of August," Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confirmed.
