Stormers flanker Schalk Burger has been recalled to the South Africa side for this weekend's second Test against the Lions in the only change from the XV which beat the tourists 26-21 in Durban last Saturday.
Burger missed the game with a calf injury but is now considered fit enough to replace Heinrich Brussow at open-side.
Brussow drops to the bench where he will be joined by hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle, with Gurthro Steenkamp and Ricky Januarie dropped from the squad.
Springboks assistant coach Gary Gold said: "Schalk would have been first choice last week but needed just a few more days to recover.
"He deserves to be in the team, he is a tried and tested Springbok and has done brilliantly for us, but it is a nice position to be in with a fine young player like Heinrich pressing so hard.
"We are expecting the LIons to raise the ante on Saturday in the physicality and intensity. We expect them to make a few changes but we have always respected them as a good side."
