Schalk Burger has been hit with an eight-week ban for eye-gouging Luke Fitzgerald.
The South Africa flanker was yellow carded in the first minute of Saturday's second Test in Pretoria, which the Boks went on to win 28-25.
Burger's team-mate Bakkies Botha has been banned for two weeks following his citing for dangerous charging on Lions prop Adam Jones. Jones was forced off with a dislocated shoulder after the challenge from Botha in the 44th minute at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.
