NATIONAL TELEVISION AWARDS – BEST SERIAL DRAMA VOTE: VOTING INTERACTION INFORMATION

1.         General guidelines:

Viewers may vote for the Best Serial Drama category via the premium rate telephone service as specified in the programme, “The National Television Awards (the ‘programme’), which is broadcast on Wednesday 25 January 2012. Please note it is not possible to vote via SMS, the internet, via email or during any repeat broadcast featuring the programme.

2.         Opening/close times:

Voting opens and closes as specified in the programme. Votes cast after the closing time will not be counted but may still be charged.

You may vote as many times as you like, however ITV may choose to disqualify votes received from a single recognised number in excess of 1000 votes, where in ITV’s sole discretion the votes submitted are deemed to be an attempt to manipulate the outcome of the vote.

3.         Voting - Method and Cost

To vote for a serial drama, you may dial the phone number that corresponds to that serial drama, as displayed on screen during the programme, and listen to the instructions given in a short message. Each vote costs no more than 36p from a BT landline.  Calls from other networks may be higher and from mobiles will be considerably more. Please note that as with any popular voting show, there are always very high call volumes when the voting first opens. Anyone having difficulties getting through to the voting lines should wait and then try calling again within voting times only.

4.         Voting results:

The total number of telephone votes cast during the programme will be added to the total number of votes from previous voting stages and the serial drama with the most overall votes will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the programmes with the equal highest number of votes will be deemed joint winners.
