ALAN TITCHMARSH: INTERACTIVE POLL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OPENING AND CLOSING TIME
The online poll opens as stated in the programme.
The online poll closes at 5pm on Thursday 8 October 2009.
METHOD AND COST OF PARTICIPATION
Viewers can take part in an online interactive poll as promoted on-air during Alan Titchmarsh (the “programme”) by visiting the website at www.itv.com/alan (the “website”). Follow instructions to vote for your favourite dish. Please note that it is not possible to participate in the poll via SMS, PRTS phone, red button, via email or post. There is no charge for web entries but internet service provider’s fees may apply when accessing the internet.
RESTRICTIONS
To be eligible to take part in the interactive poll you must be aged 18 or over at the date of entry. The online poll is only available to users in the United Kingdom. You may participate in the poll at any time during the time that the poll is open. You will not be able to participate in the poll after the closing date and time has passed. There is no restriction on the number of times you may vote. Entries on behalf of another person are void.
RESULT OF THE POLL
Updates on the interactive poll may be announced during the programme and the final result of the poll will be announced during a subsequent broadcast of the programme. ITV will not have a say in the outcome of the poll.
The result of the poll will be from all polls received by the producer of the programme at the time when the poll is calculated, after the poll has closed. Entries made or received by the Promoter after the closing date and time, or entries which are incomplete, incomprehensible or not received are void and will not be entered into the poll.
GENERAL TERMS
ITV, the producers of the programme and their sub-contractors do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, software, provider or otherwise which may result in any poll not being properly received, registered or recorded.
ITV cannot promise that the website will be free from errors or omissions nor that it will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. The website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond the reasonable control of ITV. ITV will not be liable to you or to any other person in the event that all or any part of the website is discontinued, modified or changed in any way.
Nothing in these terms and conditions restricts your statutory rights as a consumer. For more details on your statutory rights you should contact your local Trading Standards Office or Citizen's Advice Bureau.
